I am studying graphic design and am in the process of putting together an online portfolio. I though it would be a good idea to add a mascot of sorts on each page (a panda bear wearing glasses). In my mind I see it making my portfolio a bit more comfortable and entertaining to view. I am afraid, however, it will be dismissed because of immature content.

The logo is your choice, but it will reflect on you. How does it look? Does it look like a real panda that has glasses on or is it a childlike cartoon panda with glasses, or is it in black in white.

You can have the logo, but make sure that it fits the portfolio and your personality.

Your portfolio needs to be focused and a expression of YOU; not the visual aides. I think what your trying to do is cute although I would want all the focus on is you. I would hate from them to focus more on the clip-art than the actual subject… Good Luck!
